Oman saw $1.2bn of real estate transactions in February

Oman saw $1.2bn (OR447.3m) of real estate transactions in February, according to data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

The figure represents an increase of 17.4 per cent on the $990m (OR381.1m) on the same period the year before.

The total fees collected from all legal actions stood at $32.5m (OR12.5m), an increase of 22.8 per cent compared to 2022.

The value of sale contracts stood at $539m (OR207.5m), whereas the value of mortgage contracts stood at $619m (OR238.3m).

The value of the swap contracts stood at $3.9m (OR1.5m).

According to the NCSI statistics, as many as 39,079 title deeds were issued by the end of February 2023.

The number of title deeds issued for GCC citizens reached 210, compared to 148 title deeds as at the end of January 2022, comprising an increase of 41.9 per cent.
